WHAT SOUTH AFRICANS VIEWED ON YOU TUBE IN 2017





Today, YouTube released its annual Rewind. This is basically a list viewing back at the most-watched videos for the year in South Africa and globally.
Through YouTube’s release, it is perfect that in 2017 South Africans turned to the platform for entertainment as the top 5 most watched videos were all entertainment videos. 

Topping the list was local artist Bhizer with 2017’s smash hit Gobisiqolo. Next up was another South African artist – Prince Kaybee with Charlotte(Ft Lady Zamar) and Sun-EL Musician – Akanamali feat. Samthing Soweto  was the third most watched video by South Africans this year.
The top trending videos for 2017 are based on views, shares, comments, likes and more. YouTube Rewind brings together the biggest music, trends, memes, and characters from 2017 featuring today’s biggest YouTube stars and mainstream personalities, this year’s list of top trending videos represents the amazing variety of creativity brought to YouTube each day.
